MAGDRL: PetSmart Annapolis  January 20, 2007

It was a cold and windy January day for our first Maryland 2007 PetSmart Meet & Greet.  Annapolis M&G Coordinator Joan Schramm (left) came out early, set up our table, and offered free hands.  We had as many as 5 visiting Danes at one time which really attracted the crowds!

Joan left her Danes Napoleon and Ethel at home to keep her husband Michael company. He's recuperating from an auto accident and we wish him a speedy recovery!

Dane puppy Savannah (left) is now 10 months old, and one of her training exercises is being handled by others. Jupiter (right) is easy, but Savannah is quite a hand-full! Dane Ambassador Merlot has "retired" from Meet & Greets because of her arthritis, and little Savannah is in training to become our next Dane Ambassador. She's got a long way to go.....

Thank you Joan for offering your free hands today!

Jupiter is such a prince! At age 6-1/2 years old, he's earned his AKC-CGC certificate and Therapy Dog International. He loves little people and little dogs! Thankfully he's in good health, and we hope he'll be doing these events for many years to come.

It was busy all day despite the weather. There was a wind chill in the teens, yet we had visits from folks who just adopted a Dane from MAGDRL, folks who just had their home visit and were awaiting approval to adopt, and folks interested in starting the adoption process. It was a Dane-filled, productive day for MAGDRL!
